Through years of learning from great siddhas in India, I’ve had the privilege of uncovering profound yogic wisdom—breathwork and meditation practices often lost or guarded as secrets.

This ancient knowledge unveils how the macrocosm shapes our inner world, offering transformative techniques that harness the power of breath. By integrating the interplay of breath, the body’s vibrations, and the principles of astrophysics, it paves the way for meaningful change.

I would now like to share this wisdom with everyone, guiding shifts in thought patterns and fostering deep, lasting transformation.

The Accidental Beginning of A Journey
For much of my life, I was skeptical of astrology. How could planets—distant rocks orbiting millions of miles away—possibly influence my life? This doubt lingered until I visited India and met an astrologer and Siddha.

During a Vedic astrology reading, he revealed how planetary alignments shaped my personality and life events. His insights were uncannily accurate, leaving me questioning my sense of control over life: Am I making my own choices, or living out a pattern?

Later, while clearing out a closet at my father’s house, I found an old notebook containing my Vedic birth chart from when I was born. To my amazement, it echoed the astrologer’s insights. Struck by this, I returned to the astrolger with a pressing question: If life is written in the stars, can we change its course?

Rather than offering ritualistic solutions—something I was skeptical of—he introduced me to Pranayama, the practice of intentional breathwork. He explained that by controlling and observing my breath, I could find the answer to my question.

I was initiated into Pranayama and the astrologer became my first guru.

This fresh perspective ignited a deep curiosity, setting me on a lifelong journey of discovery.

A Journey of Learning and Transformation
The question of control over one’s life became central to my exploration. It led me to the core of yogic philosophy, where I studied the interplay between the macrocosm of the universe and the microcosm within us. Along the way, I learned from masters who deepened my understanding of yoga, meditation, and the mind’s subtle workings.

The techniques I was taught brought about rapid physical and psychological changes, and I felt deeply blessed to have these practices during one of the most challenging phases of my life. As I continued to immerse myself in the practice, I began to notice subtle yet powerful shifts—how solutions and help would flow in unimaginable ways.

Despite the transformations I was experiencing, I sensed there was a deeper truth yet to be uncovered.

VASI YOGA - The Holy Grail of Yogic Practice
A pivotal moment came when I met Jyothi Swami, the guru at the Jeeva Samadhi of Vellingiri Siddha Ashram. Under his guidance, I was initiated into Vasi Yoga, an advanced and revered form of breathwork often described as the "holy grail" of yogic practices. Vasi Yoga, rooted in the Siddha tradition, opened a gateway to deeper awareness, inner harmony, and transformative wisdom.

Vasi Yoga is believed to have originated over 2,000 years ago, associated with Maharishi Bogar, a revered Siddha who passed it on to Mahavatar Babaji. Rooted in the Tamil word "Vasi," meaning breath or inner dwelling, the practice emphasizes mastering subtle breath to harmonize body, mind, and cosmic energies. It was kept secret for centuries, taught only to initiated disciples, and is tied to the sacred Vellingiri Hills of Tamil Nadu. Its ultimate aim is to awaken spiritual consciousness and align the practitioner with universal energy, making it a cornerstone of the Siddha tradition.

My Purpose for Shakti Pranayama
As my journey evolved, I realized that the wisdom of Vasi Yoga was not just something I wanted to keep to myself. The depth of this practice has the potential to transform lives, yet much of it remains locked behind language barriers and inaccessible teachings. My purpose in sharing Shakti Pranayama is not simply to bring this knowledge to more people, but to provide a bridge—an accelerated path to help practitioners progress more efficiently.

With so many different aspects of yoga—hundreds of asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques—there’s no clear roadmap to guide you. Many systems of yoga, while profound, lack a direct, structured approach to help practitioners advance step by step toward the goal or through the 8 limbs of yoga.

Over the years, I’ve carefully distilled the most effective practices to support and speed up progress, especially in the area of Vasi Yoga. I’ve designed Shakti Pranayama as a foundational sequence that combines key asanas, pranayama techniques, sensory withdrawal (pratyahara), and the focused breathwork rhythms of Vasi Yoga (dharana). This sequence is structured to make these teachings more accessible, preparing you for the higher practices, like Vasi Yoga (Dharana), with ease and clarity.

Imagine standing at a train station, preparing to reach a temple atop a hill. You can choose to walk to the foothill or take a cab to get there faster. Shakti Pranayama is like the cab—it provides a strong foundation and prepares you for the climb. However, the ascent itself depends on your alignment and karma.

Your Consciousness is Your Guru
I believe in experiential learning. When you blindly follow a guru or swami, you grow only intellectually. Your practice will increase your awareness, guiding you with all the answers you seek, experientially. Whether it’s dealing with life situations or a pressing philosophical question, the answers will come directly—you just need to heighten your awareness to recognize the hints the universe provides.

The great yogis of the past tapped into the extraordinary resources within the human body and mind to accomplish amazing feats. Your body is a laboratory, containing all the physics, chemistry, and biology you need. Like those yogis, you already possess everything necessary for your journey.
